My workshops introduce youth ages 10-18 to the art of sustainable & creative textile design by having them experiment using a variety of art forms combined together resulting in an environmentally friendly, digitally printed, hand embroidered & sewn keepsake decorative cushion, book tote bag,  sleep bed pillow or drawstring pencil case.

 

Students learn how to brainstorm & sketch ideas, create fabric designs using professional graphic markers & illustration paper, photograph, scan & edit their original works in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, digitally print art work on textiles, enhance designs through textural embroidery & machine sew textile designs into usable keepsake products they can use.

Youth keep both their original illustrated art works as well as their finished textile pieces.
