About the Artist

A designer & textile artist with extensive experience in the fashion industry, ranging from luxury to contemporary brands leading design teams in creating product visions & designing fashion concepts from sketch to in-store collections. Driven by a passion for color, form & texture, a love for watercolor, pencil & marker art, and a desire to bring my knowledge to youth, when not designing, I partner with Art Councils, the School Boards, and organizations focused on youth, empowerment & community leaders in delivering sustainable textile art workshops and programs for youth in high priority neighborhoods, in both schools & communities in Toronto & surrounding neighborhoods.

My passion is textile art & design. My objective is to practice my art professionally, while sharing my knowledge with aspiring children & teens in high priority neighborhoods who otherwise would not be able to participate in such programs. My highly creative & engaging workshops explore & experiment with the art of marker illustration, pattern design, photography, Photoshop, sustainable digital fabric printing and keepsake product design resulting in the creation of both original artwork as well as original apparel & home decor products the youth create, keep & use.

The benefits of art go beyond the obvious creative rewards, Textile Art & Design Workshops provide youth with skill & knowledge building opportunities, but most importantly they ignite a creative spark & empower youth with pride & self esteem. Art allows youth to say what cannot be said with words & in turn gives them a voice!

As an artist, being inspired is empowering, however to inspire youth is by far, a much more rewarding experience that brings me to higher levels as an artist & as a human being overall.
